Prince Charles

I just got home to find an envelope stamped ER and Buckingham Palace on my door step. Finally! A reply to the letter I sent Prince Charles a couple of months ago telling him to fuck off. If memory serves, I also called him a monkey felching bastard. I sent the letter for two reason - 1) I was very bored at work one day and 2) There was some article in the paper about him complaining of press intrusion. I'm not normally in the habit of sending insulting letters to people in the public eye, although coincidentally I did send an email to the English National Opera earlier today calling their Director of Marketing a prick and a wanker and telling them he should be sacked after this shameful episode. In fairness, in the same mail I also thanked them for their decision to start using surtitles, so it's not all bad.
So, you may be wondering what the letter said. It was on Clarence House headed paper and said...
"Dear Mr Hill,
Thank you for recent letter. Your comments have been noted.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs. Claudia Holloway"

Well, that doesn't sound particularly sincere to me. Your comments have been noted, notice it doesn't say who noted my comments. To be honest, it looks to me like Charles probably isn't even aware of my letter, which frankly means it might have been a waste of a stamp. I would have hoped for at least something along the lines of "I have discussed the matter with His Royal Highness and he has decided not to fuck off on this occasion." Still, at least they did reply, although it probably didn't cost them much, I would imagine the heir to the throne probably gets some sort of staff discount on letters he sends via the Royal Mail.
